Blood
The fluid consisting of plasma, blood cells, and platelets that is circulated by the heart through the vertebrate vascular system.
Blood vessels
An elastic tubular channel, such as an artery, a vein, or a capillary, through which blood travels to and from parts of the body.
Chronic
A condition that is long-lasting and recurrent.
Dehydration
Can be caused by losing too much fluid, not drinking enough water or fluids, or both.
Glucose
Type of sugar that is used by the body to produce energy.
Insulin
Produced by the pancreas to help move any glucose out of the blood and into cells, where it is broken down to produce energy
Onset
The onset is the beginning or early stages of an illness or condition.
Stomach
The principal organ of digestion; helping digest food by churning and mixing it with acids to break food into smaller pieces
Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is caused by the body's inability to produce insulin.
Type 2 Diabetes
The most common form of diabetes, Type 2 diabetes occurs when not enough insulin is produced by the body for it to function properly- this is also known as insulin resistance.
