What to look for – Signs & Symptoms of Diabetes


  1. Increasingly thirsty
  2. Increase in visits to the bathroom, especially during the night
  3. Feeling very tired
  4. Loss of weight & muscle wasting
  5. Blurry vision
  6. Wounds take longer to heal

Signs of Type 1 diabetes are usually very obvious and can develop relatively quickly over the period of a few weeks.

In terms of  Type 2 diabetes, signs and symptoms are not so obvious and can sometimes be put down to the natural aging process.

In both cases, taking early action is key.  If any of the symptoms apply to you, ask your GP for a diabetes test.

In both Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes, the symptoms can be quickly relieved once the condition is treated.
